What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser when you visit a website. They are commonly used to keep users logged in, remember preferences, or track behaviour across sessions.
Cookies NoobVenture uses
None. NoobVenture does not set any cookies on your browser at the moment — no session cookie, no preference cookie, no tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies. The site is fully usable with cookies blocked entirely.
localStorage (not cookies)
Instead of cookies, NoobVenture stores a small amount of data in your browser’s localStorage. This data is local to your browser, never transmitted with requests automatically, and never expires until cleared manually.

You can clear localStorage at any time through your browser’s developer tools (Application → Local Storage). Doing so will reset the theme to dark, empty the cart, and (if you were logged in to the admin) log you out.
Cookies set by third parties
We embed Google Fonts and Font Awesome from their CDNs. These services may set their own cookies on the CDN domains (fonts.googleapis.com, cdnjs.cloudflare.com). NoobVenture does not control or have access to those cookies. If you want to avoid them entirely, a privacy-respecting browser (Brave, Firefox with Enhanced Tracking Protection, etc.) will already block third-party cookies by default.
The shop links out to a payment provider at checkout; that provider sets its own cookies on its own domain to handle the payment session. Those cookies are governed by the payment provider’s own privacy and cookie policies.
Cookies and storage we do not use
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics, Plausible, Mixpanel, Matomo, etc.)
- Advertising or retargeting cookies
- Social media tracking pixels (Meta, X, TikTok, etc.)
- First-party tracking cookies of any kind
Do I need to consent?
Because NoobVenture sets no cookies and the localStorage entries we do use are either essential (cart, admin token) or trivial UI preferences (theme), no cookie consent banner is required or shown. Under GDPR / ePrivacy, essential storage that is strictly necessary to provide a service you have requested does not require prior consent.
Changes to this policy
If we ever start using cookies (for example, if we add session-cookie auth on the public side, or a self-hosted analytics tool with a first-party cookie), we will update this page and the “last updated” date above before doing so.
